Griffith Easter Party is set to become the event of the year, with La Festa announcing their Official 2015 Program.
It’s clear the headline act is one to get excited about, Joe Camilleri and The Black Sorrows playing live on the Area Hotel Main Stage. Supported by a fantastic line up of talent including Jelly Shots, Countdown Tribute Show, Jiakomo Thief and Kyle Jones.
The Avanti Rotary Community Stage will feature multicultural dancing, kid’s entertainment by The Party Pirates proudly brought to you by Bertoldo’s Bakery Griffith, and much much more.
Enjoy Italian Home Cooking at its finest with demonstrations of delicious southern Italian cooking in The Gourmet Cucina such as Pasta Carne (homemade pasta sauce), Pana da Nanna Lisa (Nanna Lisa’s bread), Croccche da Nonna Marianna (Nonna Marianna’s croquette) and Pittei i hiuri di cucuzzeia (zucchini flower fritters).
Nominate yourself for the La Festa Chilli Eating or Pie Eating contests with local gourmet producers “The Local Hot Sauce” and Bertoldo's Bakery Griffith. Are you up for the challenge?
There will be plenty of entertainment for the kids, kicking off from 9am, with the Children’s Easter Brunch in CWA Park (Egg Park) where food, games and craft come together. There’ll be an Easter Egg Hunt at 11am, then head to the Steggles Family Picnic Area for more children’s activities and entertainment. Tony Joes Amusements on Railway St will have fun for the whole family, ride the Cha Cha, slide down the Giant Slide, bounce on the jumping castles, visit Sideshow Alley and more!
Taste boutique wine from some of the region’s best producers in the Calabria Family Wines Marquee and enjoy XXXX Gold – the Official Beer of La Festa 2015 in the XXXX Gold Beer Garden. Satisfy your hunger and wander around the gourmet food stalls and market stalls in the La Festa Food Alley.
The festival doesn’t stop there – from 6.30pm dine out at one of Griffith’s restaurants or eateries surrounding Banna Ave to finish off your day with style, surrounded by friendly locals, family and friends.
Why not make a weekend of it and enjoy the whole Griffith Easter Party this year.
